The Portland Soccer Club

Establish 1955

We are a community-based club with over 100 members. Our membership comprises people from 4 years old to 60 years old. 20% of our members are female with equal opportunity and cultural awareness being one of the club's key strategies.

We have had players from every continent in the world represent Portland Panthers. We compete locally and in the South West Victoria Football Association.  We play clubs throughout western Victoria including Warrnambool, Hamilton, Stawell, Port Fairy, and Corangamite.

We work closely with all community groups including preschoolers, local schools, and youth at risk.

Soccer is a game that anyone can play and we encourage all to participate. We have a vibrant group of volunteers that keep the place going and ensure that the Portland community has the opportunity to play and participate in the world game. We have a strong junior program with many of our current players having represented the Association in championships in Geelong. Some of these players have been identified for further pathways into State level junior teams and scholarship programs. We continue to encourage people to participate and to enjoy a healthy sporting activity. We teach our people to respect and value all members. We promote youth leadership through our coaching education program and nominations into council sponsored programs. Youth are also involved in working in the canteen, managing, officiating, organising events and representing the club at community events. We are a member of the good sports club program with safety protocols and policies in place. We love our club, the opportunities it provides and the variety of people that it attracts and welcomes in to our community.
